Im Best Exotic Marigold Hotel hat sich einiges getan: Sonny muss sich um die Gäste und die Bewirtschaftung kümmern, obwohl er doch eigentlich nach einem geeigneten Ort sucht, an dem er um Sunainas Hand anhalten kann. Dabei hat er bereits Unterstützung, denn Muriel ist mittlerweile Co-Managerin des Hotels. Allerdings besteht ihre Aufgabe offensichtlich hauptsächlich darin, sich die Sorgen und Nöte der Gäste anzuhören. Madge hat beispielsweise zwei Verehrer, die sie nicht verlieren will, Norman und Carol sind ständig damit beschäftigt, ihre Partnerschaft auszudiskutieren, während Evelyn und Douglas angefangen zu arbeiten. In die Riege der bereits bekannten Gäste reiht sich jedoch auch ein Neuankömmling ein. Sonny hat allerdings nur noch ein Zimmer frei und weiß nicht, ob er dieses Lavinia oder dem Neuling geben soll...
